Can You Drink Coffee During Navratri Fasting?
Whether coffee is consumed during a Navratri fast depends on the fasting rules followed by the individual, family or tradition.
Is Coffee Allowed During Navratri?
There is no single rule followed by every person observing Navratri fasts. Some traditions permit certain beverages, while others follow stricter fasting practices.
Why Practices Differ
Vrat rules can vary by region, family tradition and the specific form of fasting being observed. Ingredients considered acceptable by one household may be avoided by another.
A Practical Approach
- Follow your family's established vrat practice.
- Check ingredients in prepared beverages.
- Do not assume that one regional rule applies to everyone.
